Question regarding dinner table issue (#9)

A long age ago, I allowed my people to snack on our national animal. Since then, I have received this issue many times, and varied my choices. Most recently, I chose to protect the animal -- and yet, in my nation description, it continues to state "national animal is the butterfly, which is also the nation's favorite main course".
Is there any other issue that could ever remove that, or do I just have some sort of bug? ;)

I normally don't like to ruin the suprise, but if I protect the dodo will it hurt my economy?

Probably. It wouldn't be a good issue if there wasn't weighing of different interests involved.

Yeah, one of my pupets got it, though I dismissed it. I like having the national animal as the main course, and none of the options seemed to protect that.

I personally find this an issue that should be dismissed by nations that eat their national animal. You can't have it both. Eating an protected animal is stupid, and the economy of my first nation thrives on it. Protecting it would collapse my economy!
