This is my idea.

I don't know what you would call it, but what about a hybrid (yeah...I use that word a lot) kind of thing in which the tribe sort of keeps (some of) its traditions, and sort of joins the modern world? because that's usually what happens, right? You get this weird in-between mix of things happening, as the ideologies collide. The older members of the tribe want to stick to the old ways, but the younger members want to join the rest of the world (and then sometimes realise it sucks, and therefore go back to the old ways).

i like it but try to add in another option like "
"What!" asks appalled civil rights activist @@RANDOMNAME@@ who just doesn't leave you alone. "This is a demorcracy remember we can't have this! We should let the natives vote on what they want to do become "modern citezens", stay natives or mix it." then everyone is happyand demorcracy wins

then add in this issue and it would be really good!!!

Matthuis, that option ought to have a downside.

Nah, I've seen plenty of options without downsides.
