Biology Teacher Takes Wrath from Creationists

Last night, the prestigious university professor Chuck Darville III was kidnapped from his house by a band of angry Creationists for un-Biblical conduct, and is being held for ransom until he denies the truth evolutionist theories.

Invalid for atheist nations

[option]"I deserve this not!" exclaims Darville III, who is tied up behind the chapel organ. "I worked hard for the position in class, and I deserve to teach however I want! If a theobiologist who believes in Creationism wants to teach his pupils, then he should form his own class!"
[effect]a niche cult of creationists have been teaching in their "non-secular" schools

[option]The door to the chapel slams open, and in its wakes stands the prestigious pastor @@RANDOMNAME@@. "Do not listen to that atheist scum!" s/he shouts across the chapel with a thundering voice. "He is betraying the Bible and the word of God! Execute him! Creationism has been scientifically proven, and we must now teach it to all of the youth he has corrupted!"
[effect]people are executed for advocating evolutionism

[option]"Both of them are wrong," proclaims the extremist scientist and general nutcase Socrates Berkelium. "Evolutionism was proven by Darwin, we all know he's right, and that's final. Arrest thyare creationists, bloggay!"
[effect]the government arrests creationists on account of treason

Not my first issue, although it's first I've posted. I'm holding out on the stats for now, I would like to see what people have to say about the issue first.

Option 1 implies creationism is valid science, methinks you should edit this, perhaps changing it to something along the lines of religion not being taught in schools.

Options 2 and 3 are also a little extreme, if you make things too extreme people will dismiss your issue.

Isn't there something in the FAQ about how issues are supposed to be intentionally extreme?

I submitted a similiar issue on October 28, 2003.

Creation v Evolution

A group of conservative parents has sent a petition to the Minister of Education, demanding that the religious accounts of Creation be taught in science classes.

Valid for nations with high levels of Devoutness and significant spending on Religion & Spirituality.

[option] "Not even a grain of evidence supports evolution," says concerned parent and webmaster of 'NationStates Action Plan', @@RANDOMNAME@@. "Yet it's being taught in schools and universities as fact. Everyone outside @@NAME@@ and like-minded nations laugh at us for believing in such tripe. This travesty must be stopped! Our plan of action is to base the teaching of science on our religious scriptures. Studies have shown that the predictions of our religious scriptures is more accurate than the General Theory of Relativity.”
[effect] specific religious doctrines are taught in science classes
[stats] civil rights decrease, religion and spirituality increases, intelligence decreases, devoutness increases

[option] "Everything in biology relates back to evolution," says university lecturer, @@RANDOMNAME@@. "It must be taught if students are to grasp the basics of life sciences. This is a booming area, and @@NAME@@ cannot afford religious fanatics to undermine it. Since Darwin, supporting evidence has amassed so much that the theory of evolution is in the same realm as the roundness of the Earth. If those fundamentalists' beliefs are more accurate than the General Theory of Relativity, then Jennifer Government is Booker Prize material. Religion has no place in science."
[effect] a rigorous syllabus of evolution is taught in science classes
[stats] civil rights decrease a bit, religion and spirituality decreases, intelligence increases, devoutness decreases

[option] “No one needs to take sides,” says school principal, @@RANDOMNAME@@. “Why don’t we teach both creation and evolution in science lessons, giving equal time to both disciplines. That way, students can decide which theory is more viable. I’m sure that fewer people would complain about bias.”
[effect] the theory of evolution and creationist doctrines of every known religion and sect are taught in science classes
[stats] civil rights increase, religion and spirituality increases a bit, intelligence decreases, devoutness increases a bit

[option] “I agree that the theory of evolution is absurd, but the religious alternative is just as illogical,” says @@RANDOMNAME@@, a biochemist and author of ‘Irreducible Complexity- what evolution cannot explain’. “Until a viable scientific theory is developed, no reference should be made to prehistoric times and origins of life or any taxonomic rank.”
[effect] all references to prehistory and origins have been purged from science syllabuses
[stats] civil rights decrease, religion and spirituality decreases, intelligence decreases, devoutness decreases

Options 2 and 3 are also a little extreme, if you make things too extreme people will dismiss your issue.I intended for option 1 to be somewhat of a "let people teach what they want, but I don't want to hear what the other one says" option, while the other two are supposed to be flat-out denials of the opposing view. I might include another option to balance things out, but right now there's a snowstorm and I want to do something fun.

That ... stat ... is a bit weird on number 4 and I'm fairly sure it can't be done (not to mention that no one would choose that option once they figure out what it does).

That's just what I thought. I'm replacing it with the alternative and realistic fourth.
