Title:

Too Good A Double?

Description:

Press, TV, Radio, an exact copy of @@NATION@@'s leader gained incredible popularity within the last few months. Even worse, the imitation is so good what you thought to be your most private habit has became public knowledge.

The Debate:

[option]"I'm really sorry," says your hairdresser, @@RANDOMNAME@@, laughing out loud. "I just cannot help it. And don't worry, thanks to me, you don't really look like a @@ANIMAL@@ anymore. Oh well, maybe a little bit but you should be proud. It's our national animal after all. Yeah, this should be considered as a great quality... worth a decoration!"
[effect]medals are given to people that look like a @@ANIMAL@@

[option]"You like to collect miniatures, so what?" says @RANDOMNAME@@, your favorite vendor in the nearest Toy'Around shop. "A lot of people in @@NATION@@ spend hundreds of @@CURRENCY@@ in the very same hobby. The more the better, I say! A lot of your detractors should cheer up and just do the same. How about you make it a national sport?"
[effect]collecting miniatures is the most rewarding sport in the country

[option]"And what's next?" says @@RANDOMNAME@@, your cousin. "A double for each member of the government? What would happen if someone with my face came out of nowhere and made fun of me? We should make sure this kind of things can't happen anymore. Let's get rid of these trouble-makers. The discreet way that is."
[effect]people sharing physical traits with representatives or members of their families tend to disapear mysteriously

[option]"Get rid of them? Hell no!" says @@RANDOMNAME@@, your secretary. "Everytime I tell you about a new ceremonial, you're always complaining you lack time for yourself. Why not hire doubles if they prove to be good? They could deal with these cumbersome events you don't wanna hear about."
[effect]conspiracy theories are spreading all over the country as the leader's physionomy seems to change from one public event to another

Do you like it? Have more options in mind? I tried to deal flawlessly with the gender issue ;)

What? I don't get it. :?

I don't understand option 1 at all, and option 2 is a bit tricky to get (I think), but it's a great idea and 3 and 4 are good as they are.

I'm afraid I don't really understand what the point of this issue is.

Could you explain, please? Also, some stats for each option would be helpful, to further understanding.

I've always thought that posting the stats for the issue is pointless for a couple reasons. First off, the thread always becomes and argument about what the stats should be or why such and such change is wrong. Also, the mods in charge of editing have said that the stats are the area most subject to change, so what the player thinks the stats should be does not represent the final say at all, more like a recomendation.

Well, you do have a point there. I asked mainly to get an idea of what the original poster was thinking with their issue, since I'm not really sure of what the purpose of it is. The whole thing seems entirely too random to me, though perhaps I'm just missing something here.

I guess, though, that a explanation of their thought processes on this issue would also suffice, or indeed be better than stats.

Option 1 and 2 re-ordered so that the hobby/habit thingy gets more obvious. Option 2 rephrased to make it clearer. I don't really get the misunderstanding about this "miniature" option. What's the problem?

Hmm... I'll try about the stats... but I'm not sure I'm that good at it:

Option 1: boosts economy and corruption (hell, you do something a vendor told you)

Option 2: lowers social equality (judging people on their physic), increases pop happiness (people tend to love decorations)

Option 3: lowers personal freedom, increases law&order (can't find anything better :? )

Option 4: increases government size, increases corruption

Err... feedback?

Quite funny, the last option is a bit like Saddam Hussein...
But edit the beginning, "Press, TV, Radio, an exact copy..." it doesnt sound right.

I removed those 3 first words and submitted the issue. Thank you for your feedback :)
