I want the Auto Manufacturing industry to be number one in my nation, and my economy is already at Frightening. Will choosing option 2 (not mining anything at all) decrease my economy rating in any way? Or should I just dismiss it?

Mining the uranuim will improve your econmy, and may or may not reduce your auto industry.

Yes, I'm aware of that. What I want to know if choosing option two will hurt my economy.

I would guess no, because all you choose to do is not take advantage of progressing your economy, so it would carry on as it normally would.

Option 2 isn't just "Don't mine uranium" ... it also places makes new environmental protections. This option probably will hurt your economy. If you wan to keep your economy growing without giving a big boost to uranium mining, then I would say choose option 3.

but eventually, even option 3 still does environmental damage, it's just not as great or drastic. Not at first anyhow :P

choosing opt 2 will bring tourists in though, so the economy does not go down

I have a frightening economy and have not touched my rainforests. The tourists more than make up for the lost revenue (at least in my country)
