After partying like it's 0.999, the citizens have woke with fuzzy memories to find that we are really in the year 2003, and that the idea that it is Year 1 was started on internet forums.. Or 3662, Third Age, and ruled by elves. Or 2601, and are in one big spaceship. Obvious, really.
1. Monkeyland is complaining as usual on the NS foums. "I was celebrating at the Religious Republican's Gentleman Club, when we went to get drinks, and I...er, woke up with a traffic cone. To think NS has made such a fool of me! We must ban it!"
