Any tips on how I can get my nation up from 70,000 on the UN list of most healthiest nations?

increase welfare. On the budget issue choose the third option. Cloning issue possibly affects it though I am not sure. I don't think organ donation does.

Cloning does NOT affect it. I'm extremely pro-cloning and I'm only ranked #78,000 on the list. I think making mandatory organ donations might help though the letting people pay for organs apparently doesn't.

I know how, but you won't like it.

Basically you have to divert government funds into any vaguely health-related programs (education I think too, as I put education even before health, and come in the top 2,000), and total your economy (by raising environmental standards, not like however the Anarchies do it).

 ...my...economy? Well I guess I can revamp education at least, that won't be much of a drain

I am in the top 1000 and do not have mandatory organ donations so it is unlikely. I think the UN reports may well be based on responses to a single issue.

That would be the uranium mining then.

Since I don't want to make a new post, how do I get my citizens nicer?

By raising welfare methinks.

Sorry, but, smart, nice, and healthy are generlly found in nations with bad economies.

Edit: Qaaolchoura is ranked 1st in the region and 373rd in the world for Most Comprehensive Public Healthcare.

Or Goobergunchia...a nation with both a good economy and a conscience.

(Although you still beat me easily....)

Civil rights is the key to both. I am a Scandinavian Liberal Paradise with Extraordinary civil rights and a crappy economy, and I was top 2000 for both health care and nicest citizens. Generally, just being liberal will improve both these catergories.

I have FRIGHTENING civil rights (that's the highest category possible btw) and I'm in the bottom 200 for most public healthcare. Your civil rights are only excellent, which are far below mine.

As for being nice, I was ranked #68,000 or something like that. I don't really know why since citizens of rich countries on average donate much more (as a percentage of their income) to charities than citizens of poor countries or countries with really high taxes, but then again all the socialist countries were ranked higher than the fascist dictatorships for most police.

Mallberta was ranked 17th overall
I have 0 civil rights and low political rights.
I have a terrible enviroment
I think the most important issues are/were
a) Mandatory organ donation
b) I suspect the euthenasia issues (now is not the time for euthenasia)

I honestly can't think of any other issues tha may affect this. Apparently welfare and income have no effect; I have 100% income tax and low welfare as well.

Actually, a wide variety of issues affect your nation's Health ratings and Compassion/Niceness ratings. Right up there with issues that affect how smart your people are.

Generally, anything that deals with welfare or helping people will affect your compassion and niceness ratings. Pro-religion stances also help (which is how a nation with state-bias towards religion that burns Harry Potter books is ranked high for compassion).

One thing to keep in mind, however. Comprehensive Public Healthcare is not how healthy your citizens are. In my nation, for instance, I rank terribly for Comprehensive Public Healthcare (in the 75000 range), and very poorly for insurance industry (~60k). However, I consistantly rank in the low thousands for Healthiest Nations.

I guess my healthcare sucks because my superhuman, disease-resistant population doesn't need doctors. Or insurance

Seriously, my guess is that IT rankings (which seem to be a general science ability ranking) also effects how healthy you are. Just a guess though, I can't back that up, except to say my IT industry rawks (259).

My nation flies in the face of all/most of these suggestions.

I am mostly a Scandinavian Liberal Paradise, although I've been an Inoffensive Centrist Democracy for the last few days. I tend to make liberal decisions.

I prioritise education (I do have smart people, according to my low ranking in the latest "stupidest" ranking report), then environment most of the time. My people are compulsory vegetarians. My tax rates sucks. I have what seems to be a huge IT industry. My stats, however, are as follows:

Rondebosch is ranked 75,981st in the world for Healthiest Nations.
Rondebosch is ranked 65,343rd in the world for Most Comprehensive Public Healthcare.

I have always dismissed the cash for colons debate, which is the only discrepancy that I can think of.

I was ranked 418 for Healthiest Nation and over 70000 for Most Comprehensive Public healthcare. I'm really confused how this could be possible. Could anyone explain this?

Quite simple. You don't invest in welfare or health at all, but you made organ donation mandatory, allowed people to sell their colons, and made them go vegan. None of those requires much money, or affects the Healthcare System.
