Issue Submiting Protocol-- Reaction Prediction

Do the mods/admins want us to submit what we think the outcome should be as well, or can we go either way on that?

I have some ideas on what can happen, but seems like it would be fun to leave it in the hands of others, if the issue is good enough....

Mainly curious if both ways are cool

I'm not sure, but I think you're referring to the [effect] tag used when submitting issues:

At the end of the option, start a new line and write "[effect]", followed by a short description that will be added to the description of nations that select this option. (E.g.: "[effect]the right to free speech is being drastically curtailed".)

Yeah, thanks. I was hoping you didn't have to come up with what the outcome of an option woul dbe-0- would hate for an issue not to be chosen because they didn;'t likle the outcome you suggest.

Never saw that link before, so thanks a lot.

Obviously we need to tweak the "effect" listing to turn it into numbers and macros for the game to work properly, but it certainly does help if we've got something to go on. I'm constantly surprised at the effects that people list that I would never have thought of.

Would there be any possibility of ordinary users being able to code up the issues? I'd quite like to have a go at that.

If you liked the suggestion but not the effects listed by the author, would that keep you from accepting the issue submission?

It wouldn't keep me from accepting the issue, no. That said, if the effects were completely the opposite of what I would have thought would happen, then that might count against it.
What I'd probably do in a situation like this is either discuss it with the other mods or with the player concerned. In extreme situations (such as issues being submitted and then the submitter's nation deleting), I might even raise it on this forum.

Cool. I think it is great you want players to list the effects. I just don't want to come up with these. I have begun to spend time on issues of late, and I hope I can come up with a smart idea or not. Sort of like you said before, that players have suggested things you have not anticpated, thus you are happy to have the effects proposed-- I can only know so much. Alright, not articulate tonight. But thanks for the honest openess on this whole issue suggestion deal, and thanks for answering.
