I don't think that's savory

That has got to be one of the nicer "I'm going to ignore you" threads I've seen.

TFU, I was creating an IC situation in which to not leave a gaping hole in a storyline. I was going to talk to you over MSN as well, but you ended up reporting it before I could get to you.

It's nothing OOC personal, but you've said it yourself, conflicts just aren't going to work out. Sorry.

Just an observation, but most of the time Ignores are written so that the nation being ignored no longer exists in the same reality as the nation ignoring them. They don't usually godmode that "You've been completely destroyed.", so I can see why TFU is displeased.

Still, TFU, I'd suggest just ignoring him in return. And I should hope that TFU can continue his own RPs without being harassed by people who don't want to play with him. I don't want to see a repeat of the type of fiasco we had surrounding Hataria and such, got it?

A retroactive ignore would be problematic for most of our storylines, so I felt the "destruction" of TFU from reality as the fractal point would be best. I don't see why TFU would be displeased, since in his RP reality, the incident never happened. Thus the beauty of freeform roleplay.

And I was anticipating a mutual ignore, and that's kinda the point. And yes, the point of this thread is to not have to worry about him interfering with our RPs, or vice versa.

Yeah, I mean, over the course of six years there's a lot of plot that we all have that really makes what our nations are today... well, it makes them what they are, really. So if we just skip all the silliness of what would have happened in between and move on with our lives, then no one can really get angry. A believe the vagueries of "Now they're all dead" is better than writing out a long and protracted series of humiliating events.

I hope all of this trouble will end after this point. I just want to write.

Perhaps a retroactive ignore is problematic, but sometimes, that option is the only one you can take no matter how problematic it is.

That's how I felt about Roach Busters when I imposed my death penalty ignore on him. His nation was a huge part of my nation's history. However, I found his actions so abhorrent that I had no choice but to act as though his country never existed in my RP world.

In another case, I chose the same sort of outcome you did for TFU with another player's nation. He snapped at me when I did so, then I told him I ignored him and wanted nothing more to do with him. We haven't RP'd together since.

I see. Well, I did not feel that the total elimination of TFU from the storylines altogether was a necessary step, thus I chose my current course of action. It is the latter situation which you described that I went with, obviously, with the same results, hopefully. Unfortunately, no one in the thread seems to understand the "Providing an IC context" bit. :/

Great. So TFU, you can play without interference from Derscon, Auman, and Bryn Shander, and they can play without interference from you.

Sounds like something everyone should be able to live with.
