Given the context, it isn't actionable, though it was a stupid move on the part of NNLDI.

I think that was an unfair decision Ard. I was not flamebaiting. Flaming yes, but mildly and once. The other supposed "flamebaits" were attacks on the thread, not Behaved herself, and I'm still confused as to what you meant by my post history. I haven't had a single red card posting as No Names Left Damn It.

You've had two yellow cards -- and many nations, in that same time period, had no infractions at all. Why? They weren't rulebreaking.

An infraction for the same reason that earned you the first two would have been worth a red card to any nation. However, this is your second nation and your previous history (which Kryo couldn't see) is heavy with similar offences. You evidently find it difficult to take a hint, and I therefore concluded you needed some more direct persuasion.

You will note I am not jumping on you for posting past ban. I think, when there is a difference in mod assessments of your action, that you have a right to query them. However, don't post elsewhere.

Nope. As sometimes happens, I was writing my post in the thread while Kryo was writing hers here. I don't challenge the decision she made based on available information. Mine was based on info not available to Kryo.

So are bans self-enforced; if I was to banned for 24 hours, I would have to make sure that I didn't post for the ban-period, lest I suffer the further wrath of mods, rather than being unable to post?

...and I respect it. I had limited information and I made my own judgment; Ard made hers based on a wealth of knowledge. As a result, she's using the all-mighty mallet-sama to whack NNLDI; I shall yield to the divine power that is mallet-sama, because it is better than any puny punish I could mete out. :)

I'm not a mod, but I think I know the answer to this. A 24-hour ban on No Names Left Damn It bans THAT ACCOUNT from posting. However, NNLDI posted from another account to question the ruling. Normally, that's verboten. In this case, Ardchoille allowed it because her ruling contradicted another moderator's.

I think the precedent is that if NNLDI posted with that puppet somewhere else, he'd risk disciplinary measures for posting past forum ban.

As far as I know, that's right. We've had posters react to a ban by spamming the forums, posting reams of abuse, obscene pics, you name it. That's why posting past ban, with the banned nation or any of the player's puppets, is DEATable:

Posting Past Forumban: If a nation is forumbanned, that nation's player is not permitted to post on the forums with other puppet nations. Such puppets may be deleted without notice, as may the puppet master and other identified puppets. If you can't figure out why you were banned, you can file a Getting Help request asking why. You may post on the behalf of a forumbanned player to ask, in "Moderation", why that player was forumbanned. You may not post on the behalf of a forumbanned player for any other reason.

If a nation is deleted for rule-breaking on the forums, the moderators may impose a forumban time in addition to the deletion. Failure to observe this forumban may result in a DoS order (see below).

However, whether it's automatic may depend on how the ban is put into the system. I used the newer Jolt infraction system.

NNLDI posted in the General thread, according to the time stamps, two minutes after I told him of the ban. Allowing for the time lag with writing posts, and not remembering whether I set the ban before or after I wrote the post, I can't tell you whether he was able to post past ban or whether he posted before the infraction system kicked in.

He's not in trouble for posting in Moderation because I directly invited him to do so.
