The posts you cited as flamebaiting don't appear to be so. Flamebaiting implies a degree of maliice. Zinaire's was pointing out OOC/IC confusion, which is legit, though out of place when OOC in an RP thread. New Kereptica's was a joke that fell flat, but I don't think it went so far as to be malicious.

Have you repeatedly asked him not to use a nickname but he's kept doing so just to annoy you? That could be actionable. If that's the case, please give links to the posts where you made your views clear, and his replies.

If not, I would suggest you contact him yourself and explain that you don't like being called nicknames. Linking him to this thread should prove you mean it seriously.

Mods will intervene where necessary, but NS is a fairly informal place, and many minor disputes are better resolved by the people concerned.

Trolling: ...

Trolling is also is used to refer to making obviously silly topics that people nonetheless will reply to, despite all common sense. Don't feed the trolls.

I believe it fits that description, but an expert I ain't. Certainly the background behind it with the use of Leis's name suggests to me that it does. Like I said, not an expert, not a mod.

In general, I prefer that people on NS call me Sarzonia unless they know me well. For the most part, people I like can get away with calling me Sarz or Mike, since the latter is my RL first name. However, I don't see the need to come running in here to make a federal case of it if someone I don't like calls me Sarz.

If I've specifically asked that someone call me Sarzonia and the person calls me Sarz or Sarzy or Mikey or thereabouts in an attempt to get under my skin, that's different.
