Could we please have a threadsplit of this (http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showthread.php?t=585656) thread, so that the 'Is Economics a science?' debate doesn't drown out the protectionist debate?

This post (http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showpost.php?p=14575708&postcount=35) is almost entirely about protectionism but has been moved to the "Is Economics A Science?" thread. Could it moved back, in whole or at least part?
It has led to further discussion in the protectionism thread which loses something with the post being absent.
