In a thread, on abortion no less, Dempublicents made an on-topic post reflecting a balanced, measured and insightful perspective. Nowhere in the post does she invoke welfare-recipients as parasites, jesus, or the stopping of a beating heart. Notice further the utter absence of eye-rolling and/or gun smileys.

For me, exposure to that kind of abnormality has been painful. Its like living in a pressurized environment at the bottom of the ocean, then being brought up too quickly to the harsh sunlight and sickly fresh air. I now have the internet bends.

I demand she be green carded, or at least instructed to call somebody a fucktard.

Like any organism, I adapt to my environment. Over various iterations on NSG, I've become accustomed to a habitat of emphatic absurdity mixed volatilely with passionate fallacy punctuated with flaming.

The calm, reasonable response from Dempublicents was so stark a departure from NSG's norm as to be injurious.

I insist that you punish her.

Not to rain on your parade Ghost but it doesn't look to me, as a fellow player, that she did anything wrong. I don't see any rulebreaking.

Go placidly, poor Ghost. Here in the sweltering South of the world it is the time of quiet planning before the second harvest. Soon General will again be the festering snakepit we have come to know and love. Your restless, seeking soul will find surcease. The wheel of the year will turn, whether you put your shoulder to it or not.
