This thread was supposed to be lighthearted and fun, instead half of NS got depressed and I think the rest got angry.

Speaking as someone who launches a lot of regrettable threads, I thought SaintB's thread was kind of nice.

Some people were commiserating, yes, but that's part of the human experience, and comradeship in sorrow is hardly less meaningful than fellowship in joy.

I liked it.

Seems to me that if it's locked there'll be a variant up within the next few days anyway. People will witter on about it, and some of them will be sad, and some angry. So?

For one thing, thread ownership rules don't exist in NS General the way they do in the RP threads.

I think Ardchoille is on the money here. Even if he's a bit less than accurate with the genders of longtime posters on this forum.

Speaking of which, isn't Ardchoille actually Miss Ardchoille rather than Mr?

He was joking. Or he'd better have been joking ...

And it's Ms Ardchoille. Or Madame Ardchoille. Or Here's The $100, Please Lift The Ban Ardchoille. :D
