Losing Quorum?

I've got a repeal at quorum right now, but it has a few proposals ahead of it. I'm thinking about taking my main nation, Zarquon Froods, out of the WA and letting one of my other nations come in for the vote on the others. Would I lose quorum if the nation that drafted the proposal left the WA? I plan on reinstating them once it comes to vote.

I don't think so, if I remember correctly one time a nation had a proposal in the queue and was ejected from the WA (might have been UN back then) and the proposal still went up for vote.

Yep, that happened with Saint Lucius Malfoy and Right to Learn about Evolution (http://www.nationstates.net/page=UN_past_resolutions/start=100).

ZF: Unofficially, I've never noticed any link between the nation and the proposal. Nations seem to be able to leave the WA, be deleted, or dance on the head of a pin, and the proposal can still remain at quorum. The mods might correct me, of course, but I don't think you have anything to worry about.

I honestly don't know. The only thing I'm sure of is that the nation name is included as part of the published resolution, and the link reflects the living status of the nation. I don't think there's a programmatic check for WA status before taking it to the floor.

Wouldn't the safe bet, though, be to wait until the resolution passes (or not)?

I suppose it would be, but I was going to pull them out to role play another nation in the next vote. I suppose it really doesn't matter that it's not in the WA, I can still make ZF reflect the vote. I don't want to risk it coming out of queue so I'll just keep them in. I'll just fib on the rest.
