If I squint hard and look at it sideways, I can see your point. However, the piece it was excepted from was a clear attack on how you present your arguments. Your earlier statement, "Of course - Muravyets can't be bothered to read the Telegraph article," was just as much an attack on the poster as their response.

You obviously don't get along with Muravyets, and you seem to look for opportunities to have us warn that (and other) players. Perhaps you could implement the Ignore Poster feature on some of them and save us all a lot of time and annoyance.

Implying that he finds torture equivalent to porn is in no way similar to what he said about Muravyets, and I'd say it's flaming.

Fris ruled it wasn't enough for an infraction and I agree with it. He had a good reason for his decision.

FYI, please note the following:

It is bad enough when Hotwife makes unfounded and insulting accusations against nations and public organizations, but now he is accusing individual posters of condoning child abuse, too. In this case, he happens to be accusing me, but I would find this unacceptable no matter who he was saying it about or to.

And, yes, personally, I see no reason why I should be insulted in such a way. I don't know if he's deliberately flamebaiting me or if he's just out of control in his own argument, but I think this is way over the line. I have done my best to engage topics and stay on topic without personal fighting, per moderation advice. I think he should be doing the same.

Perhaps the two of you ought to take Fris's advice and put each other on Ignore? If you keep reporting each other, a moderator might *TELL* you not to interact with each other. It'd be better to do so on your own terms in my own sordid non-moderator opinion.

The post I complained about is accusing a poster personally of condoning child abuse. Even if that were not about me, I feel it would be over the line. I do not believe the appropriate response is to let it slide by in silence.

This has nothing at all to do with any personal friction between me and Hotwife.

So really, at some level they're ok with it.[MODEDIT: child abuse]And since you're happy sweeping it under the rug, you must be happy with it, too.

On you, it has no effect, of course, because for YOU, torture is porn <snip>

Similarity noted.

Also note: constant personal sniping between posters disrupts the freedom of debate in the forums.

The mods' remit is to ensure the freedom of debate in the forums.

Both parties to sniping will be stopped. It won't be a matter of who started it, or why, or where the moral high ground lies. Both participate, both pay.

Both should think it over.

So, accusing people of condoning child abuse is an acceptable practice that does not require a behavior reminder, then. Noted. Matter closed.
