I hate debating things in here, but yeah, not only is it going south fast, there's another thread (particularly, the "U.S. balks at backing condemnation of anti-gay laws") where this could've gone.
The flaming isn't productive, though, so I don't know if a merger or a closure is required...

My post was entirely justified. He made his utter hatred for me, a number of my friends and everything I believe in (liberalism and the freedom to choose, not just the right to be gay/and marry) pretty damn clear. My comment was less offensive than the OP's.
