WA: report duplicate drafting threads

The most common mild violation to happen in the WA forum is that a player will post a new thread for each revision of their proposal. I swear I see Fris et al. fixing at least one of these every week.

I'm sure there is something in HotRodia's sticky about this, but most new players don't read it. Do the mods and players think there would be any value in adding either a (possibly temporary) sticky or a section into this one (http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showthread.php?t=450344) that makes it clear that players should stick to one thread for revisions of the same proposal?

Thank you for the suggestion, though it won't make a difference. The people who already follow the rules do so, and then there are those who don't. There will always be no matter how many stickies and rules we make.

There have been 3 threads in the last 2 days; there have been any number since the original comment was made. Given the moderators are clearly paying less attention to the WA at the moment, while NS2 is teething, I would like to request, with all due respect to Kryozerkia, a second opinion on this, as I feel a temporary 'Use only one thread for your proposal!' sticky WOULD do some good in terms of reducing clutter in what is, after all, a forum with only a small number of active threads.

I wholly agree with Kryo's assessment: The people who already follow the rules do so, and then there are those who don't. There will always be no matter how many stickies and rules we make.

However, since the problem still hasn't gone away, let's try a temporary sticky.

Let's also try a kick on the ankles: new threads on an existing proposal won't be merged, they'll be deleted (costing the player his work).

Yes, that's right. And NS2, we're leaving you on your own for a bit because NS1 is acting up ... we are not going out with another forum! It's just a friend from work!

Seriously, though, mods may not be able to spend time trawling for these, so please let us know about them, with links.
