I posted in a moved thread (http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showthread.php?t=569988) and it suddenly reappeared on NSG. How is that possible?

I started a thread wholely unrelated to South Lizasauria. He came onto the thread, and in post #16, he brought up some previous statement he had made in another thread about women being at fault when they are raped.

He then preceded to try to relate my current thread to that previous thread.

Again, he brought up the previous issue and tried to make it relevent to the current thread. My replies were in response to his resummoning of the old issue.

If you closed my thread for spam, I can accept that, spam was there. I've seen other threads survive with more spam, but the mods are busy.

But I honestly think that it is more consistent with the moderation policy if you are more clear on why you closed it.

Because it really appears on some level that South Lizasauria came on to a thread that had nothing to do with him (as much as he feels otherwise), then he raised an old issue, then he managed to get my thread closed for having raised an old issue.

That you were either swayed by his reasoning, or in some other way were brought to act as you did, demonstrates something about moderation here.

A spammy thread can live for a while under the radar, with everybody, mods included, having fun. But once it starts looking like spreading trouble, it's gone. It seemed to me the trouble was not going to be confined to South Lizasauria.

I could have taken the time to go back and edit out all the prickly bits, but I think the topic had had its day.

It's so beneath you.

Cutting is often part of transplanting.

Its not so much spite, its the soil of the place and the way its tended. I occasionally put effort into what I submit here, and if it deserves no better than at least minimally reasonable moderation, there is nothing I can do but leave. This is their ground, and they've chosen what they want to grow here.

There is a middle ground; I don't demand austere and universally affable habitat for my beering, barding, and whoring, but when the proprietors or their agents, whose power is uncontestable, are so easily taken to rein by an OP like this, its time to find a new tavern.

Even a dive bar can be a fine place, but only if the cooler is savvy and apt.

Loath though I am to end this feast of reason and flow of soul, we would be self-indulgent to continue it.
