My thread "NationStates Jury"

This thread is not designed as a forum game and is not for any kind of academic paper.

My hope is that observation and opinion amongst ourselves on style and content of debate will be no more adversarial than the debates themselves, and I have expressly disclaimed that the outcomes of the reviews are not intended to constitute any inference of "win" or "loss" on any poster or thread.

If, however, the moderators, in lone opinion or en banc, feel that this will engender anything contrary to forum policy, I will gladly modify or alter the thread to bring it into compliance.

Please advise regarding any concerns, and I will defer to the moderators.

I realize this is not my forum, nor is it my own laboratory, but it is part of life, digitized though it may be, and I believe the internet is still an observable part of the world that can be studied and perhaps should be studied.

I have always prefered satire as a means of discourse; this is a foray into spending more time with conventional debate. I am asking to be allowed to continue with it. Thank you.

Oh, man...this is like the time I composed like a four paragraph e-mail explanation to a senior partner as to an attached analysis...and then I sent it without attaching the analysis.

So far, I've got six people on board, including me, and the way its going, I don't likely foresee more than 9 or 12 even wanting to be on it, but based on volunteers so far, it seems likely anybody who wants to kick on it can. I'm hoping that absence of exclusiveness is a point in its favor.

Thanks for having a look.

Hm. At first gloss, there's certainly potential for it to spiral out of hand (should people get a little heated in their criticism or defense of their posts), but in and of itself, it certainly seems like it would be okay to me. And not a horrible idea in and of itself.

Grazi. If it does need to get locked out later, no hard feelings. We'll be cognizant of that possibility and try to make avoid making it necessary.
