According to forum rules, not at all.

Then again people here get away with vulgarity entirely to much in regular posts (there's pretty much no reign), so it seems a double standard to say "Well, according to forum rules, you can't swear at all, but you can actually swear all you want, but not have it in your sig."

But, whatever, I have reconciled myself to the fact that I live in a society of ignorant people who can't seem to find any educated way to express themselves that they have to use frequent vulgarity.

So, to me, whatever, untell the mods start cracking down on post swearing it doesn't actually make much difference to me.

Not in sigs, because they are added to every post, and not to excess in your posts.
Sig edited.

From the NS2 Moderation forum:
Forum Thoughts

Existing Nationstates moderators will be moderating the NS2 forums. We have exactly the same rights here we have in the NS1 forums.
Expect to see a stronger Jolt/OMAC presence here, at least at first. Bigfoot (http://forums.jolt.co.uk/member.php?u=77376), Lydias (http://forums.jolt.co.uk/member.php?u=82398), DylanC (http://forums.jolt.co.uk/member.php?u=1709772), and others may make periodic or regular appearances
OMAC will be enforcing the PG-13 rules more strictly than we've been on NS1. Please make an effort to keep language and topics clean and bright wherever possible.
Sigs, avatars, and other elements that cross over between forums will be moderated using NS2 standards. Find another place for your favorite vulgarity - it's no longer welcome.
The forum structure was obviously modeled on NS1, and large portions are irrelevant now. Be patient. If new forums are needed, Jolt can add them later.
A complete listing of the OMAC Terms of Use (http://static.nationstates2.com//terms_of_use.html) have been posted, and should be visible even if you've not been issued a Beta Key.
