Is that post acceptable?

I remember the big thing with DCD, so, it's like unacceptable right?

Tattle tell!

I'll delete it. Sorry!

That seems fair enough to me, Zilam.

(Do not take this as a generic endorsement of posts maliciously wishing harm on candidates. Or anyone else,)

Uhm, for clarification purposes (for possible future needs), I did think posts wishing non-human-caused harm on people that aren't on NSG were fair game - Not being flaming, and all. Is that not so?

Edit: I do still can call them names at any rate, right?

NO WAY am I dim enough to exempt any given category of insult from the description "flaming". Given the inventiveness of NS players generally, I'm sure it would be quite possible to come up with a vicious flame involving the notoriously peaceful Bonobo chimps and custard pies.

There's also the possibility that, while an insult may not be directed at anyone on these boards, it could be seen as trolling or flamebait aimed at supporters, co-religionists or others who are NS players.

As always, mods will give each situation our best shot, judging it on circumstances, apparent intent, maliciousness, etc.

In Zilam's case, I took the insult to be the American equivalent of, "I hope your chooks turn into emus and they kick your dunny down" (and if that line is flaming, I'm toast).

I'm assuming that last line had some Aussie English to it. (Which interests me as a Language/Literature grad, but I digress).

Regardless, you're also saying, I fathom, that not ALL manifestations of low hopes towards people outside NSG (say, McCain, Clinton...) are actionable?

I'm saying that it depends on what you say, how you say it, where and when you say it. So if you're planning to post something involving, say, McCain, Clinton ... and a horde of wandering meerkats, well, let's just see.
