Apparently, mods can moderate for no reason at all?

I was in a lively discussion of a politcal nature on the forums. No one was calling names, no one was being rude, no one was doing anything other than having a nice debate, when out of the blue, I get the message, after hitting "post" that I am moderated.
If there was no name calling, no rudeness, nothing other than what I thought was a nice discussion (which rarely happens now in this dynamic political world) what gives?
Is independent thought and the right to share opinions only accepted here when it agrees with the moderators? Makes me want to post something on my blog about it, that liberals are running the boards here as mods and they only allow discussion of THEIR choosing...

It might have been one of the mods who accidently hit a wrong button. This still deserves to be in moderation methinks.

IIRC, Jolt has a server-wide policy of automatically moderating post from posters below a certain post count, so there's no need for the fevered conspiracy rant.
Also, this:
Makes me want to post something on my blog about it...
is hilarious.

If that were true, don't you think it's a bit silly to give them a reason by posting this?

no no
what happened to you is an automoderation thing that jolt has in place to stop bot spam. once you reach 10 posts it will go away.

I love that his first thought is that it's some sort of evil liberal conspiracy.

Yea, It would make much more sense if it was a Conservative one, since they are the one who like to govern Morality *nod*

Yup. Its all in the nuts and bolts section.
Going for help is better than whining in the generals when there's a problem.
This particular problem's answer is a sticky.

hahahahaha... Oh man, that gave me a good laugh.
Anyways, Nansonia, that (as stated earlier) is just an automatic Jolt feature to prevent spam, once you reach ten posts it will go away. I don't really remember the automoderation thing when I just started NS, but I know its been there for all of 2007 probably when my sister tried to post with her former nation Anthyobia...

Oh and to whomever posted I was a "he", guess again... Women can have opinions as well.
Women can have opinions as well.
Sure they can...as long as their husbands say it's ok.

Uh, a simple "I'm not a 'he'" would have sufficed. A poster without a name that gives a hint to gender in an online forum attached to a sim game can be guessed as being male without too much fear of being wrong. Of course women can have opinions -- why automatically assume that anyone here would think otherwise?

And even then, of course, the husband gets veto power over any particular opinion.
