Just for future reference, would they go in general?

Are you asking because it's an introduction? Yes, it belongs in General.
Is it because you're trying to report a smilie spammer without SAYING he's a smilie spammer?

Of course not Kat, just put the knife down.
I was just wondering if you would move that topic, I'm sorry.

O_o Ok, overreaction much?

Ah, then, "I think he got this in the wrong place" would have been a far clearer indicator of what you were wanting me to do.
Topic towed.

Hey, don't dump your rubbish on us!
Couldn't you just delete it? It's nothing but spam.

It's a new poster... he'll probably straighten up right quick.

Especially if he doesn't follow the example some of the old posters set in his thread.
Just to clarify for the newcomer -- I canned the thread not because of anything you did, but because later posters were turning it into a spamfest.

I took part in some of that, sorry. Is there a restriction on names?

General rule of thumb is keep things PG-13. And for the love of god, don't be "witty" and try to hide a curse word/vulgar term in your name. No it's not funny. No you're not getting away with anything.
Other than that, have fun :)

Nah, your post was fine. I was mainly talking about the rash of smilies that broke out later.
Is there a restriction on names?
If you mean, "Are we restricted from commenting on fellow posters' names?", no, we're not, within the rules.
If you mean, "Is the content of names restricted?", yes, it is -- by the rules. Obscene, abusive, etcetera, names aren't allowed.
