Sounds like Neo Art gets to be wrong.

The hell? Note, this is not a reply to anything I said. This is the OP. I will also note this is not the first time he's done this and has been warned about it already. This looks clearly like baiting and trolling, as it was not in reply to anything I had said.

Mods only please.

Maybe I'm missing something, but I can't see the problem. Forum regulars get to know each other's stances on a variety of topics, including gun control. Hotwife thinks he knows yours and refers to it in his thread.

You have the option of posting to say he's got it wrong. You have the ability and the experience to do so thoroughly, politely and within forum rules. I don't think you need mod intervention to do that most effectively.

If you're asking whether it's against forum rules to refer to another poster's views if he has not explicitly stated them in that specific thread, I can't see why it would be, provided it's done so politely. Saying "X got it wrong" is polite, even if it's incorrect.

I take your point about the poster's previous comment, but this is in an entirely different context. It has no reference to your personal life, being concerned with a regular topic of argument. It could perhaps be construed as gloating, but it would be a lo-o-ong stretch, and not one I'm prepared to make.

If a poster developed a pattern of singling out another for abuse or baiting over several threads it would be actionable, but in this case I don't think such a pattern exists yet.
