Seconded. We did have a general-election thread, that just didn't get much action but still wasn't locked or anything, and now we seem to be proliferating more of them. What about Shal's thread on the "popular vote", which rehashed the uglier parts of the now-locked thread-2? Shall we threadjack it onto some more useful topic or should it be locked as well?

Okay, I've just stickied one (http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showthread.php?t=558266)of the current ones.
I'll now go close as many of the others as I can before I get kicked off this borrowed computer.
Basics: stick to the designated threads, anything else gets locked, give a yell here when a thread gets too long.
So, let's get on with it. Drinks are on Kenny, right?

Mm, I don't mind you locking my thread, but could you at least put a poll on the stickied thread with all the candidates (and make votes public)? My curiosity begs you.
