Greater Trostia at it again...

I responded to a question by another poser asking me about crime rates. GT jumps in simply to try to heat me up and get me to fight with him. He puts words in my mouth, flamebaites and flames when the post I made wasn't even directed towards him. This is not a first but rather one among his long and unfortunate history of posting, and rather than reply to him (he hardly even adressed my post) I'll just give him to the mods, if anything, to make sure he doesn't get more carried away.

Indeed. Bigotry and irrational arguments - especially from you: very, very old. Tiresome, annoying, and we all know that no matter how many times they're shot down, you'll keep bringing them up again.
The old, we've seen it once and we'll see it again, calling something bigotry if you don't agree with it, but not actually refuting it.

Have you tried Mein Kampf?
Simple flaming/flamebaiting/trolling.

Wow, you really have a hard-on for those nazi fuckholes, eh! Big surprise there.
Flaming/flamebaiting/trolling.

All multiple times in one post that was not even adressed towards him. It's simply just annoying.

Keep an eye out, please, Mods.

Also. It should be noted that the title from that thread is misleading and trolling too. If that thread were a journalistic story, it would not be allowed to publish because there is simply no truth nor evidence to the title.

If I read this correctly, the essence of your complaint is: "He calls me on my bigoted argument. THAT'S ANNOYING!"

Perhaps in the new incarnation there won't be as much flamebaiting and flaming.

hmmm?
One would assume that means GT has been deleted - and a quick search on NS shows that the nation no longer exists.

What the hell? Seriously Kat that was not flaming, it's consistent with his views that the escalating situation in Europe towards immigration is almost identical to the escalating situation in Germany post WW1, and TAI should definitely know this, so I don't really see why he would find it offensive, he's just making his view point clear.. again.

It's definitely flaming, and, given his history of putting things, er, forcefully, it would have added up to a delete.

I wouldn't worry about it too much, he's been deleted before. It's not like he's been banned from the site forever - just told that he went too far this time. He'll be back.

Considering his long history, we have considerably less patience.

Whoops, somehow when I was writing that post I was under the impression that he was. :confused:

Fair enough I guess

Seriously, telling someone they have a hard-on for fuckholes is flaming.

It's hardly a deviation from the norm of usual heated NSG debate. He's only really saying that TAI supports Nazis but in a more out spoken way, but I don't really see why TAI would find it that offensive.

He's provoking, trolling, flaming and possibly flaming. I don't support the nazis and the SVP are a legit party, not nazis.

Can we drop this? The mods already ruled. Or do you simply feel the need to try to name call some more by trying to equate me to a nazi (or nazi sympathizer). It's a bit ridiculous.

TAI isn't a Nazi. He just supports an ideology that is almost equivalent to the Nazis. Greater Trostia just pointed this out rather rudely.

I find it odd that we can not tolerate open rudeness, but we can tolerate open bigotry.

For the record, I do not agree with GT and do not think you are a Nazi or Nazi sympathizer.

Actually I believe his former nations died from inaction, not mod action.

Flame: Expressing anger at someone in uncouth ways with OOC (out-of-character) comments (i.e. swearing, being obnoxious, threatening etc). It does to watch what you post IC (in-character) as well unless the other posters know you're not serious. You do not need to curse to be a flamer. Erudite slams while maintaining a veneer of politeness can also be considered flaming. Flaming in the forums should be reported in the Moderation forum, in the game itself, through Getting Help Page.

Flamebait: Posts that are made with the aim of angering someone indirectly. Not outright flame, but still liable to bring angry replies. Flame baiting is a far more subtle and covert action; it is an underhanded tactic that is designed to provoke a response from another player. It's in the same context of trolling but with flamebaiting it's just the one person.

Etiquette
>It's free speech, so I can post whatever I like here, right?

Ahahahaha! Hahaha! Free speech! No, it's not. I run this web site, see, so you have to play by my rules. It's like my own Father Knows Best state.
>What can I post?

You can discuss and argue about almost anything, so long as it's vaguely relevant to politics or NationStates and doesn't fall into any of the categories below. You don't have to be politically correct, but you must maintain a minimum standard of behavior.
>What can't I post?

Any content that is:

* obscene
* illegal
* threatening
* malicious
* defamatory
* spam

This applies to your nation's name, motto, and other customizable fields, any messages you write, images you post, or any other content you upload or link to NationStates. If you do, your nation will be deleted. See the site's Terms & Conditions for details.

Also prohibited is the practice of "griefing." Griefing is playing with the primary aim of annoying or upsetting other people. If you do this, the game moderators may take action against you.
>Does that apply to my nation's flag?

You betcha. In fact, we're much stricter on nation flags than we are on forum posts, because they're not open for challenge and debate. If you want to make a political point, don't use your flag -- use the forum, where other people have a right of reply.
>I got into an argument with this idiot in the forums, and I got deleted and he didn't! How come you allow pro-Catholic argument, but when someone tries to tell the TRUE story of the coming of Christ--

Okay, let me stop you there. It might look as if you are being persecuted for your political views, but what most likely happened is you made a personal attack and your opponent didn't. No matter what the subject matter, if you don't conduct yourself in accordance with the rules of etiquette, you will get into trouble with the moderators. The best way to get your points across in the forums is to remain calm and respect other people's right to disagree with you.
>Another player posted something offensive!

People get offended at different things, so first make sure it falls into one of the above categories. If it does, please report it to the game moderators using the "Getting Help" page.

It's not as if we keep it secret. One can discuss a wide variety of things here as long as maintains a minimum of civility.

That is simply your incorrect opinion. The SVP is not almost equivalent to the Nazis, and responding to legit posts with stuff like "nazi fuckholes", "mein kampf" and such is indeed unnecessary and rather toolish.

That is sig worthy. Alas I won't because of the children.
Thinkin' of them, are you? :p
