Troll Sighting

In a thread about those who roleplay in NationStates, something we have two entire forums dedicated towards, this poster seems to feel that he needs to insult all of them. Apparently insulting those who post in "Moderation" wasn't good enough.
No, if I wanted to spend my day pointlessly and anally typing up what can only be at best described as torture through reading I'd get a myspace. and if all you do is make a pretend nation and do "creative writing" about it why bother having an NS account? (because without the nation page all the RP's would looks like dribble maybe?)I'm here for the general forum which I'd hazard at being the largest forum not only for NS but also jolt. I think its legitimate to ask what your doing in our land of paradise mucking it up with eye bleeding paragraphs
The thread was quite civil before and hopefully will continue to be civil afterwards, however there is no RIGHT way to play this game, nor is there a RIGHT forum to post in, so insulting everyone who actually play the game in some form and/or posts in certain forums comes off as, and is, nothing more than trolling.
NSG isn't a seperate site. It is still NationStates. People tend to forget that.

Oh, and by the way... MODS ONLY. I want a ruling, not a debate.

I'm not commenting on the above but just to add, if this is the criteria, and despite a Mods Only, it's easier not to create another thread.
Now that's not to say that there aren't future-tech old timers who write well (like AMF) that hang around II, or that there aren't modern-tech n00bs who can't spell their way out of a paper bag in NS, but these generalizations prove true for the most part.
Generalising II contributors as n00bs who can't spell their way out of a paper bag is clearly trolling.

Except that "generalising NS contributors as n00bs who can't spell their way out of a paper bag" isn't what I did...
Wouldn't make much sense...considering that I'm an NS contributor. Why would I troll myself? What I was saying is that the old stereotypes of NS vs. II don't always hold up. I was, in fact, reinforcing that just because you post in a certain place, you aren't better than someone else.
Again, Mods only please. If you don't know, the Mods look at the entire thread before passing out judgement, taking all sides into account. If i've done something wrong in that thread I'm sure it'll be brought up. No need to go fishing to try and "catch me at my own game."

Despite Steel Butterfly's attempt to avoid debate, it should be noted that what you quoted in no way 'generalizes NS contributers as people who can't spell their way out of a paper bag'. It generalizes 'n00bs' as people who can't spell their way out of a paper bag - whether this is trolling or not is debatable, since what he said is sort of the reason why they're called 'n00bs' in the first place.

I meant II not NS, corrected - anyway, it's Mods Only, I'm not debating, merely adding, please don't make this a debate.

And again, since you changed it, that also was not what I was doing. I was noting the generalization for the sake of discussion, not actually pimping it. I also preceeded to say that it wasn't always true, and gave an example (AMF) of someone who it didn't apply to. I then finished it off with the HORRIBLE statement:
Find a place you like, and have fun. That's the real point.
Terrible advice if I do say so myself. Either way its far different from Call to Power pondering why anyone who roleplays even has an account, much less mucks up HIS paradise with our writing. He can dislike RPing all that he wants do. He doesn't have to troll.
Also, a n00b is someone who is new and can't spell. As The Macabees said, that's pretty much the definition. It's not trolling, for if you are new, and can spell, you are not a n00b.
Now please, for the last time I'm hoping, Mods only?

Oh, for pity's sake, people, stop the nonsense until someone can deal with it. MODS ONLY.
EDIT: Okay. I have deleted the post that caused the complaint and will TG Call to power about, among other subjects, trolling.
I have posted quite a screed on the subject here (http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showpost.php?p=13687688&postcount=30). It repeats what Fris said earlier. It shouldn't have to.
I doubt that I am the only mod getting a little tired of the apparent belief that posters should not report problems in the Moderation forum. Be assured that vengeful or "vexatious litigant" complaints will be dealt with appropriately. This thread is not one of them.
Barringtonia, The Macabees, when someone has called "mods only", that's what it means. You can trust us to read the rest of the thread too and put complaints in context.
Steel Butterfly, once you've alerted mods to the problem, you don't need to expand on it unless we've obviously misunderstood.
