Would the above image get me banned, even though it is an ANTI Swastika? I want to put it up because the British National Party did really well in a recent London election and I want to show my opposition to this to my fellow region members.

Well, the swastika was banned because it might offend some that players would appear to be promoting Nazi ideology. Since you're doing the exact opposite, I suppose that'd be okay.

so what if the anti swastika is offensive to some guy in a nazi party, group, colt, ext.

mainly it wouldnt be fair for one to be banned and not the other.

The swastika in itself has no evil connotation. Actually, according to Wikipedia, the swastika has being appearing since the Neolithic period. Wikipedia also states that is used in Buddhist art and scripture. Is known in Japanese as a manji (literally, "the character for eternality" 萬字), and represents Dharma, universal harmony, and the balance of opposites. When facing left, it is the omote (front) manji, representing love and mercy. Facing right, it represents strength and intelligence, and is called the ura (rear) manji. Balanced manji are often found at the beginning and end of Buddhist scriptures (outside India).

It was what the Nazis did with it which ruined it´s meaning around the world.

I'm aware of that, but [violet]'s policy banned swastikas because they connotate to Nazism in the public consciousness, rather than in ancient Aryan* symbolism.

*Yet another piece of language that the Nazis fucked up for the rest of us.

i dont think they should ban any flag images. If one image isn't o.k. to be shown, then none are. There will always be somebody who is offended by anything. I agree, though, that pornographic images should be censored. But censoring someone's political beliefs? I thought this game was about political acceptance of other viewpoints.

Umm...isn't that a bit contradictory, saying all images should be allowed, but then saying nudity should be banned?

I think the one stop rules shop states that they look at intent, so I'd guess your ok, but I'd ask in moderation to be sure.

And thats just a few. In any case, lets just ban flags altogether, any nation caught using the flag feature will be banned immediately!

Well if some person is still in a Nazi party well then they have to take the fact that their going to be offended because they did a hell of a lot worse then just offending us in World War II. Ya i think the image is pushing it but i don't think they will ban you.

I think it is those which perpetuate a negatively brief temporal association of a symbol in favor of the historical precedent from which it came, that are more at fault in ruining meaning. Knowingly perpetuating a skewed association, in the interest of not offending someone, is just absurd.

Now, in consideration of a private individual or company, sure..it is, or should be, up to them what they want and don't want. If they don't like yellow...they shouldn't allow yellow, or anything else which suits their fancy. If I don't like it, by my whim I don't need to associate with them or their business.
