I disagree on technical terms. Yes, we know what this will eventually turn into. But it is, if coached along, a legitimate form of entry, bringing another genre into RPing.

There have been many mech RP's on NationStates already, so this would bring nothing new to the table. That being said, it's not even a mech RP; it's a debate on whether or not mech RP's should be allowed in NS. They already are. No one is saying that they aren't. The thread is pointless, but more importantly, neither IC nor OOC. It is a debate, and debates have no place in the NationStates forum.
