Andaras, I can't find anything in the thread that supports your suggestion that it's intentional.
Nor can I see anything on the page you linked to that supports the view of a sustained hijack. Wandering slightly off-topic, yes, but by the end of the page you linked to, it's back to the subject of Tibet. Laerod's comment with the smilie was actually an argument, responding to your "Tibet was never a nation".
I can't find any sign that either of the posters you mention deleted posts, nor any record of any mod removing them, so I'm forced to the conclusion that what I see is all there ever was, and I don't see a hijack.
If there is a particular post that you think supports your complaint, please link directly to it.
