Just a suggestion. Keep an eye on this thread. It could turn into a flame fest.

I'm just wondering who is the blackest person of them all. To be fair, this isn't just about skin pigmentation. Not all races with darker skin pigmentation (Dravidian, Punjabi, etc.) have correspondingly bigger lips, smaller brains, or more fat cells in their buttocks.

However, science has proven that the two do correlate. Darker skin and larger butts, according to sciennce, are probably to protect them against the foibles caused by a smaller brain. In addition, mmost are closer to our chimpanzee ancestors than those of other races, though certain Asian races are close to the orangutan.

Every race has a genetic exemplifier. In the last century, Hitler and Chiang epitomized the white and yellow races, respectively. Who epitomizes the black race?

It could become illegal? I think it is from the get-go.

Sometimes I really hate the internet and dislike people.

Can't we just get rid of Wilmur? All that person does is post offensive things to get a negative reaction. It's rather annoying.

That´s a decision for the mods to take, not for us, NZ. All I was suggesting is they keep an eye on the thread in case something nasty goes on. But I do agree this Wilmur person only posts threads to get a reaction, be it good or bad.

Yeah, worthy of a 3 day ban, since he's been warned before.

If he continues on his return, let us know. We may just have to let him grow up for a few years before he's allowed on our Internets.

Awww, man! I should have gotten a pic that read "In before the deletion.", not "In before the lock."! :(

...or you could just not spam...

Actually, I wondered about that. It used to be an enforced rule that you weren't supposed to spam a thread that you knew was trolling or going to be locked for some other reason. Now it seems like not only is that allowed, but it's often been the case that an undesireable topic gets spammed into lockage.

Gloating: Specific types of gloating are considered warnable. Posting "In before the lock" generates a warning to those posters who wish to gloat about an obviously lockable topic. IGNORE gloating is typically seen in the roleplay forums, though it can appear elsewhere. Politely informing another nation that you are henceforth using the Jolt "ignore" feature is acceptable, but repeating it in different threads or over long periods is considered gloating. Other cases will be considered on an ad hoc basis.

It seems like these days whenever a ridiculous topic comes up we have several pages of popcorn and IBTL posts. I wouldn't think in the scheme of things it makes any difference, but why does the rule even exist?

I suppose because of the vain hope that an otherwise lockable thread will not be bumped by every IBTL post and sink to the bottom of the forum without moderator action being required in the first place.

Oh, that's an excellent reason. Hadn't thought of that. Then, I wonder why they stopped enforcing it?

Hmm... I guess I can speculate on that, though. Often times, it's kind of self-policing, because the community tends to spank offensive posts into submission. Am I guessing right, mods?

I don't know if it's less enforced, Jocabia, or if it's just done less. I did yell at someone by TG the other day about it, but it seems to me most of the regular posters have grown out of that sort of thing.

Also worth considering is the fact that much of what the mods do isn't visible. There's not a thread in moderation every time someone gets a slap on the wrist, and that's all it usually takes to make someone stop.

The self-policing thing seems to me pretty efficient now, too. That's the way it should be (though General is often effectively clowned, rather than effectively policed, which is even better).

However, I don't remember how it was before Max brought in the posse to clean this durn town up.

Though have you noticed lately that youngsters are doing things we'd never have dared to do and getting away with things we'd never have got away with, being wild, irreligious, unpatriotic, spendthrift, selfish, excessive in their fashions and immodest in their relationships, not to mention EXTREMELY disrespectful of their elders, and that the world is going to hell in a handbasket? Hand me down my walkin' cane ...
