Recently, I set up 13 regions in which a nation can move through to clear out their national histories, so others could not see what they are doing. As they are all different regions, and I allow them to do that, I saw no apparent problem with doing so. Altough spam is against the rules, if a region allows it (liek recruiting), then its fine. SO why is inviting nations to move quickly through all 13 of my regions so bad?

Can I invite them to travel through all my regions at once, (without specifically saying why they do it (just assume they know)?

What if a nation changes their motto 20 times, does that constitute spam too on their regional histories? I need clarification. If so, can I advertise that a nation should change their motto 20 times to clear out their nations histories. Certainly that is not considered spamming is it?

What you are essentially saying is that a nation can no longer region hop. A nation cannot travel through various regions at will. A nation can no longer visit all 9 planet regions at once, or visit all 50 US states at once.

I am unable to find in the Rules where moving to as many regions as a nation wants in any short period of time constituties spam. Please direct me to the rules where it says that a nation can no longer region hop.

Some nations want privacy, and I see no reason why I cannot set up 12 or so regions with a similar theme in which nations can move to. If it so happens it clears their national history log, then that is a nice result for the nations with that objective. How then, does that constitute spam.

If that is spam, then is changing a motto many times sequentially also spam, if it clears their history?

Now I fully understand if a nation is moving into the same two regions over and over again, clearing the regional list... which I acknowledge fully as spam. But these are 13 different regions.

Regional Happenings Spam: Going in and out of a region and hence filling up the regional events board with departing and arriving messages is known as Regional Happenings or Events Log Spamming and is not allowed. Use the Additional Information checkboxes on the Getting Help Page to capture abuses on the Regional Happenings. Warzones are exempt from this rule.


Traveling in and out of regions specifically to hide where one has been or to hide others' tracks has long been a rulebreaker, so being told that you cannot encourage it is not a surprising development.

Region hoppers who have traveled to the same regions have been told to knock it off because they are spamming the regional happenings. This will also happen to anyone who decides to use "your" regions in the same way. Do not tell people to do this anymore because it will get them warned for rulebreaking.

Please remember that even though they are "your" regions, our site rules take precedence over any preference or rules your region may have.

Thanks for the clarification on that. Just the warning was a bit vague, but this explaination is nice, that will cease and decist
