Greater Trostia, the bit of macho posturing you quote has been so satisfactorily dealt with (http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showpost.php?p=13601416&postcount=195) that I feel anything else would be superfluous.

As to The Atlantic Islands' use of "gay", the younger gays I know use it as a content-free mild pejorative themselves. It may be an example of cultural differences, like "bloody" being deemed insulting outside Australia, but I don't see it as actionable. I'll leave the question open for other mods.
