Another poster has already complained that this particular argument is a threadjack anyway (although I think it is impossible to hijack the "mega" thread!) and it seems to be getting out of hand.

This is why I believe this argument is a threadjack. The argument over the paper in question has nothing to do with the election. It's an argument over the way a newspaper portrayed a story about a coup and disruption of elections in Brazil. The argument is whether or not the paper is moderate or conservative. How this applies to the current US election is beyond me. I said my piece so now I'll just leave it up to the mods.

EDIT: And, on the flame issue, by exercising admirable restraint. There now seems no point in mod intervention.
