You seem to have been here a long time, I'm surprised you'd consider this worthy of attention.

Even if Sirmomo1's intent was to say that American's are stupid, it's still not really actionable, there's no real malicious intent there.

I'd guess what he's really saying is that dumbing down a movie works in terms of box office success in America, that it's a simple fact - it doesn't necessarily imply all Americans are stupid, just that dumbed down movies gain greater success. It may just mean that cultures are different, many Americans go to movies not to think so much as to be entertained - who's to say dumb movies in Japan don't win at the box office either?

I guess there's no solid line as to what flaming, trolling or baiting is, I guess Mods take the view of whatever judge commented when asked to define porn:

I'll know it when I see it.

This just so isn't anything worth reporting, I suppose I'm just flabulating here but I wonder sometimes.

Not really knocking you specifically, I guess the admirable desire to help is at work, I'm just....

Flabulating. That's a lovely word. Thank you, Barringtonia.

Magdha, it's not a flame. I suppose, at a stretch, it could be flamebait, but I think we can credit the US Generalites with the sense not to be that touchy.
