Flamebait?

In this thread (http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showthread.php?t=543596&page=9) I received a reply from Kampfers which I definitely felt was over-aggressive and unnecessary. I think his post (link) (http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showpost.php?p=13276431&postcount=124) was pretty uncalled for, threatening me with insults in what has been a fairly good-tempered RP between friends up to this point. Either way, I don't think it was good-form and was quite rude, of course these are just my opinions.
Is this a flamebait or am I being too sensitive?

I realize I've posted a couple of times here lately in reference to the rules etc, and I hope I'm not being a pain in the ass, I'm just trying to play it by the book.

Cheers,

I wouldn't exactly call it flamebait, but I would definitely call it rude and disrespectful.

And in other, somewhat unrelated news, it looks like his sig is too long. I was once reminded that a single quote is 5 lines, and one quote inside another is 9.

I saw it as him looking for an argument/retaliation and of indirectly having a go at me, that's why I thought it was a flamebait.

It's an OOC thread, so it falls under the usual rules. Yes, Kampfers is being a bit aggressive. Nor does thisI never called you names, I said that if you did these certain situations then I would feel like calling you those names. excuse it. It's adding a hostile tone to a previously friendly thread.

It's also just plain bad form to complain about an OP's decision not to admit you to his thread. Like arguing with the umpire in cricket when you're given out.

However, if this sort of spat erupted in General between two normally civil players, I'd tell you both to settle down and play nice. Consider it said.

EDIT: Oh, and about this ... I'm just trying to play it by the book.

The Book (a) doesn't exist and (b) allows for judgment calls. :p There's just some rules and mods interpreting them according to circumstances.
