Thread lock request by OP.

This thread was fun, but it's very much over.

Confess! Who are your puppets? (http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showthread.php?p=13202953)

I'd like it locked because I can't keep going back indefinitely to honour my undertaking to update the OP with "information" submitted.

If the mod who locks it could please add a note saying why, or quote this post onto the end of the thread, that would be nice too. Save people having to ask.

I recall that thread ownership didn't count for much in NSG. Has that changed while I was gone?

I'll answer that here because I don't want the thread bumped.

I undertook to copy people's claim to puppets to the OP.
But because people claiming other real posters as their puppet can be offensive, I also have to take them back off that list if the latter objects.

That's why I mentioned I was the OP.

The thread will still exist, no-one's posts will be changed. I should have specified a closing time perhaps, but what if it had been a monster thread with lots of puppeteers outing major trolls? It would have been terrible to lock it half-through. Also terrible to change the rules half-through.

I think this is an entirely reasonable request and I don't think there will be a fuss about it Laerod.

I know it's hard to read tone of voice over the internet: I'm not fussing, I've just been gone for a while and I think that the last time I was active, such a request would have probably not have been granted, that's all. I was wondering if that had changed.

I recall that thread ownership didn't count for much in NSG.This is still the case; however, this particular case is different than normal. The general theory about there being no thread ownership in General is to prevent people from abusing it to squash counter-arguments.

I went ahead and locked it.
