It is a flame in that you insult him. Regardless of the reason, it's still insulting.
That said, it's so minor I don't think the mods will act. Usually they leave off until people are turning on the douche machine and leveling harsh insults ever other sentence of their posts or so.
In any case, if you wish to correct people in the future, do so in a friendly way. Say something like "I believe/think/know you are wrong, and here is why" rather than "You're an idiot so shut up and here's why."
