Just wondering...
If this thread (http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showthread.php?t=540278) breaks the no "ask a..." threads (http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showpost.php?p=9648150&postcount=12) ruling.
Mods only please.

One of the mods that patrolls General more than I may contradict me, but I think the prohibition on Ask A... threads was more because they tend to spawn a million (unoriginal) copies. I'm going to leave it for right now, as it seems to be generating worthwhile debate.

That's correct, comrade Hack! Of course, if it breeds a zillion and one copycat threads we will have to delete 'em all, so we must crush your hopes of a "Zilam answers your questions on breeding the lesser Patagonian tufted gerbil" thread.

We must also write down Zilam's name in Ardchoille's People Who Made Me Read Through Dozens of Posts I Could Have Avoided Otherwise book.

Would an "Ask a former Hindu" thread be pushing things a little?

Glad to know I haven't unwittingly broken a forum rule. I'm pretty glad of how my thread turns out, and if a bazillion copycats turn up, I suppose locking or deleting it won't be too big a deal, seeing how most people who asked me questions had the occasion to read them answered.
Sorry for not keeping as up-to-date as I should have about the rules.
