Why was I (Hammurab) banned?

Hello,

My nation, Hammurab, was banned, and I'm not sure why. I read the stickies, they say you have to log in every 28 days, but I logged in and posted a few weeks ago in the "Law and Its Legitimacy" thread, Sept 27 or so I think.

Thank you.

You sure you logged into the NationStates web site and not just the forums?

You need to log into the NationStates web site (http://www.nationstates.net) every 28 days to keep your nation alive.

A quick question for clarification, as I don't have access to whatever records you may or may not have at present - did you log in through the forums, or through the game? If you logged into the forums directly, that doesn't count as logging into your nation. However, if you logged into your nation at nationstates.net and used the forum link from there, that would rule out deletion via inactivity.

I can't see anything to suggest you were deleted for rules infractions. The Getting Help Request link for nation restoration is at the top of this page.

EDIT: Damn, Hack, can't you set your keyboard to slow?

Thank you for educating me, everyone. In the future I will log on through nationstates itself and then proceed to the forums from there.

Thanks for restoration!

As an aside, creating a nation to post past an actual ban for flaming or whatever, is... frowned upon. I have seen people deated for that.

People can have nations deleted if they evade a ban; that is, if they use a puppet nation to get around a ban on another nation. Unless they've well and truly used up all their chances, however, there's nothing to prevent them making a new nation after their previous one gets deleted.

It's somewhat tacky to make it with a name protesting the previous nation's deletion, since indignation will fade but the name will not; but making a new nation after your previous one was deleted is not in itself a delete-worthy offense.
