I don't think they should be merged. I told AP in the big thread that the things about the US he was saying were irrelevant to it (the topic being Ahmadinejad being an arsehole).
So he made another thread in which he wants to discuss how evil the US is (via Ahmadinejad's speech). That's fine, in my view, since the discussion in this one is clearly meant to be a different one.
