This will not end well...

AP's thread is probably doomed to failure as it is, but Gataway is flaming with a rather offensive image.

And it seems another thread also has some image spam from Gataway.

question.

Is now posting one image now considered image spam?

In the past, That pic of the bunny with the pancake on it's head was posted several times in one thread with no cry of image spam, same with the troll pic as well as the "not this shit again" pics.

Up to now, I've always thought that image spam is only when images of non-topical nature appear frequently and in great numbers. now does 1 pic consititute Image Spam? I'm worried because this could set a dangerous trend that would definetly not end well.

Like all moderation decisions, JuNii, it's a judgment call. When it's flaming spam, Kat doesn't need to explain in enormous detail the difference between a bunny and something obnoxious. The offense was sufficient for more than just an image-spam warning, and that's what happened.

Please stop trying so hard to codify NS rules into nice neat pigeonholes. They don't fit, and that's never going to change.

Please Fris, I am not trying to codify the NS rules into any form of structure, nor am I asking for any 'review' or 'reversal' for any decisions made. I've accepted the fact that it is done on a case by case process. I'm only trying to diffuse and (hopefully) distact others from suddenly posting "well, if I am warned for this, then let me report that" types of threads like this one (http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showthread.php?t=538879) which I feel would be more of a headache for you than anything else.

by inviting polite discussion on certain rulings (I hope you realize I don't do this for every ruling the mods make,) I hope posters will be clear on the thought that goes into each action taken by the mods.

also, by asking for such clarification (in this case, the pic of pancake wearing bunny) it can be clear that the pic itself wasn't what caused the warning, but the obnoxious caption with the Ronald pic (and this is an assumption on my part.)

because some might find the "Jeez not this shit again" pic or the cartoon troll pic to be just as offensive and I wanted to head off any overreaction that might occur and all the headaches that such reactions would produced.
