So it wasn't made an offical Ruling to my knowledge, but it was bad enough that it was... er... moderated at some point.

Thank you both. After reviewing the precedent, it's pretty obvious that the sticky ruling was to prevent people spamming up the forums with threads on the word "USian".

It's also clear that, as with the case of any other word, posters who used to word to incense other posters were out of line.

I don't have sufficient information to justify warning The Mindset for his use of the term. But if it becomes clear that The Mindset or anyone else is using it to flamebait, I'll be happy to apply the appropriate punishment for it.

agreed, it was supposed to be on a case by case basis. so please don't mistake that I was calling for any action.

I can see that. but in a debate it is so easy to see otherwise with how you constructed your post.

Not USian, but, fuck Ron Paul. Typical American fiscal conservatism at the expense of a healthy, happy population. Fuck any politician against government subsidised, socialised healthcare or for unregulated gun ownership. Triple megafuck any self-proclaimed "Libertarian" who opposes abortion.

It can be seen that you are not calling yourself a 'USian' and also you are calling 'Americans' greedy conseratives that is against Socialized healthcare, Gun Control, Abortion etc.

basically, if you are for Socialized Healthcare, Gun Control, Abortion (and whatever) you are a USian, but if you are against that, then you are an American.

That may not be your intent. but it does come off that way.
