There are a number of posts in this thread which call for the murder of Hillary Clinton. I assume that this qualifies as threatening someone as is listed in the OSRS.

Sounds like people are calling for Mitt Romney's death in there, too. Seems a little excessive.

Reading them over, I don't think so. The posts about Hillary Clinton (or George Bush, Dick Cheney, Alberto Gonzales, Donald Rumsfeld, Osama bin Laden -- the field has expanded a bit) seem to me to be expressions of opinion, rather than direct threats.
True, when Henry II expressed a similar opinion, Thomas Becket copped it, but I don't think NS posters' views carry similar weight.
However, there's some flaming and flamebaiting going on in that thread, which is why a couple of people are having a holiday. (http://forums3.jolt.co.uk/showpost.php?p=12975459&postcount=121)

Funny how no-one cared to report the members of this forum who were wanting Paris Hilton to be killed, only a few months ago.

People tend to care about politics and things that have a chance of actually affecting them more than some spoiled twit of an heiress who's busy making a fool of herself at every turn. Go fig.
Besides it wasn't the comments about being better off without them that got folks in trouble anyways, it was the flaming. Add to that the fact that people who can't think of any better solution than to idly wish someone into non-existence are trodding on fairly weak ground debate-wise ... meh. It's a stupid thing to say to begin with, and it'll eventually bite 'em in the ass, one way or another.

I'm just pointing out how it seems everyone was just fine when some people were calling for her head. She's still human, is she not? Hypocrisy and the like.

Oh, I have no problem with any of the rulings made.

So out of idle curiosity, given your 'outrage' ... did you report it? ;)
