This seems to be an inappropriate response aimed at attacking the poster rather than their argument.

Also, I'm not going to quote all of their posts, by Remote Observer and Greater Trostia just seem to be going back and forth insulting each other rather than making an argument.

I wonder if the constant claims of one person being another's puppet can be considered flamebaiting...

Not that I mind, but it does get rather... tiring. since it becomes a dulled point being that it's overused by alot of people.

You know the problem is that DK starts a thread and then posts things like this in an attempt to turn it into a warzone. It basically says "when will all you people who never agree with me show up and say stupid things". Yes, it avoids saying it, but it's evidence he's really interested in stirring the pot more than rational discourse.

You look at any number of RO threads and you'll see that if it doesn't get one of his usual detractors in fast enough, he makes some similar comment in an attempt to bait everyone.

Another example -
You can't post that here on NS General - they'll call you a racist and a Muslim-basher.

He practically begs to turn each thread into being about him or other threads he's been involved in.

If you're referring to RO being accused of being DK, he is, according to RO. RO said that DK, RO and several other puppets are all controlled by the same "set" of people.

Now, either he fell for the fake article, and refuses to swallow his pride, or he is only posting that article to get attention and responses.

Either way, I'm getting pretty tired of the constant bickering and flame wars that follow RO everywhere he goes. While it isn't his fault that some people dislike him, he doesn't exactly make an effort not to pull them out of the cracks with every post.

No, what he's referring to is that people are constantly accusing people of being puppets. He was saying it's okay to call RO a puppet of DK if RO admits to being a puppet of DK. He wasn't addressing whether or not they are trolling.

And when every thread he is in degrades into bait and flame, it gets really old. He purposely baits and then admits to it, which is trolling, and is obnoxious regardless of which side it comes from.

Much as I dislike him/her, he is no worse than Greater Trostia. It does much the same as RO, except that baiting right wing posters seems to be acceptable.

Don't accredit yourself with the importance. If I happen to stumble upon your posts, I might reply to them if I deem them worthwhile.

Incidentally, how would you respond if RO posted that list above, without even a cursory attempt at justification? :rolleyes:

Re post 7 on: Your instincts were right, Sarkhaan, it should have been another thread. However, since it wasn't: the Remote Observer posts quoted so far aren't, in my opinion, actionable.

I think subsequent posts are skating around an accusation of using a puppet to troll. But generalised comments don't cut it. So: if you think puppet trolling is going on, link to the posts concerned. (And don't take this as confirmation of any theories about identities.)

Greater Trostia, by the skin of his teeth, hasn't, but flaming-by-implication is still flaming. Don't do it. And when complaining about another player, please help get the matter resolved quickly by linking to examples.
