I'm not sure but telling people to spam another website or aiding in spaming another website seems like a no no on here. I'm not sure though.

It's definately spam, but before a Mod activates the auto-DEAT for linking to porn, it's not actually that.

I haven't clicked the supposed YouTube link because it smells like a hoax.

So either the OP of that thread has linked to porn (illegal on NS), or they've created a spam thread designed to engender false interest and false popularity for their favorite video clip (spamming and incurably lame).

It isn't, of course, but I wouldn't characterize as overreaction a DEAT for using porn as a lure to ratchet up the view count for whatever crap they're plugging.

I wasn't trying to pass comment on what I think should happen to that poster, simply pointing out that whatever they've done, it wasn't that.

I'm in no position to any digging on this, so the thread's been deleted pending a more in depth investigation.

It's not porn. It's a video that starts out with a scene suggesting something is about to happen, then pow: some idiot comes on and says that you're about to watch my little pony for being a pervert. It looks like spam because it's about getting a video to be the most viewed section on youtube and has nothing to do with generating discussion. It's a weirder version of those dumbass click web browser games.

Using the "promise" of a porn link to get people to click on it in order to get it's view count up is (to me, at least) the same as actually linking porn -- IF -- the rules work here like they do with criminal law. The analogy being that threatening someone with a weapon, whether you have one or fake one, is treated the same way.

It's a stupid, adolescent practical joke.
