Does the ban on bloody images and videos extend to animals, for example a video of live animals having their limbs hacked off?

Why the heck would you want to show a video of live animals having their limbs hacked off?

I don't.

I don't.

Then why do you want to know if such videos are banned, if you don't want to put one up? If there is already such a video that has been put up, then you really should have given a link to the post in which the link to that video was given.

I didn't come here for a conversation. It was a question, for which I am seeking an answer. Unless you have one, I'm not sure what you think you're adding.

Well, if it is against the rules, the video here (http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showthread.php?t=532878) shows such scenes, towards the end. If it isn't against the rules, then I didn't particularly want to draw attention to it, but I really have to go now and so I'm afraid I can't wait for the answer.

not a mod but if this isn't a breach of the rules, then it should be.

Wouldn't want people to be subjected to animal cruelty - how else could they pretend it away? Well, some manage to in spite of it...

... nevertheless I digress in these matters, Katganistan has already posted in that thread without getting all moddy about the video, so it would seem - no pun intended - kosher.

Would you use the same logic with respect to a video depicting rape?

I have not been able to get the video to work on my machine -- if one of the other mods would take a look....

That would be illegal. The PETA video is not.

I have not been able to get the video to work on my machine -- if one of the other mods would take a look....I have, and it's over the line of what's acceptable.

If people want to watch sheep get their tails cut off, they can seek out the videos on their own. If people want to complain about that action here, they can do so without linking to said videos.
