Inappropriate?

I'm wondering if a poster has crossed the line about what is appropriate. The poster suggests he'd do nothing to help specific groups if they were the victims of genocide.

The goes on to denounce all said groups as inherently unintelligent; which appears to the reason why ignoring genocide is acceptable behaviour.

I don't see how we could act on that without becoming the PC police.

Yes, it's an unpopular viewpoint, but no, I don't believe it breaks our rules.

Well, you could argue that because he was saying he would do nothing against specific groups that he was in a sense supporting genocide against those specific groups. But, that is probably a bit of a stretch.

It's no better, then what The Potato Factory said, and he was deleted.

I don't think religious intolerance is a crime around here.....neither is racism or homophobia. It's a freedom of speech thing.

However, there is a line, and Fris is pretty good at recognizing it.

It's no better, then what The Potato Factory said, and he was deleted. You honestly can't tell the difference between "I don't respect anybody who believes in God" and "A hundred million Asians need to die"?

It was the bit about a poster declaring he was happy to leave certain groups in death camps simply because of their beliefs that was inappropriate, rather than the lack of respect. It strikes me as verging on condoning the Holocaust.

However I also understand the need to allow free speach.

Another case of censoring the right. If we lived in a world were peole were censured for what they said or their opinions no matter what they are we'd be living in hell. Why is democracy ok so long as you dont criticize someone else. Free speech is for everyone. Not just the people you agree with!

Oh for crying out loud. Pack up your soapbox and take it over to General already. I'm sure the locals there will have a lot of fun discussing the merits of your ongoing outrage. This isn't exactly the place to continue on your rant, especially when another thread you were going off in was locked. Just a heads up.

It was more then disrespect, it was support of genocide. This isn't the first time he's said something like this, luckily for him the comments are just a little too indirect to make a ruling on.

Am I the only person who gets tired of watching posters with a history of disagreeing with each other trying to get one another banned?

There was a ruling, yes?

Why is there still a discussion here?

Seriously..

No, especially since you're one of those.

It was more then disrespect, it was support of genocide. There's a difference between passive support ("I wouldn't do anything to stop it") and issuing a call for it ("100 million Asians need to die").
