I am going away for two months (until the end of august) to a retreat in the mountains where there will be very little if any access to the internet, and i know that after X amount of days of a nation being inactive it is deleted....

I was wondering if you could not delete my 2 nations (minoriteeburg and cannibalistic vegans)even if i havent check it until the end of august...

putting your nation in "vacation mode" means that it won't be deleted until 60 days have past since your last log-in. From your message, login around July 4th, and you should be fine.

Put them in vacation mode, and hope for the best. Or ask a trusted friend to log in for you in the meantime like some folks do. Even if they get deleted for inactivity, you can put in a request via the Getting Help page for a resurrection, no problem.

I don't think the mods are in the habit of babysitting nations for folks. I'm sure I'll be corrected if wrong on that.

my nation was resurrected once before, i just didnt know if they would do it again, but if putting it on vacation mode is the way to go then i shall do so.

The process is entirely automated, and the only way to extend your nation's life beyond 60 days of vacation mode is to log into it at Day 59 or before. We can't interrupt the cycle.
